Amazing Products
I don’t want this blog to just be advertising for us. I did not think I would be writing about specific products, that we sell, in this forum. There are several products that happen to amaze me and I want to share them with everyone. Even my competitors!
The first one is Earth’s Outlet black worm castings. I was told by their sales people this product would do everything including curing the common cold. Most of it went through one ear and out the other. One thing they claimed did catch my attention. They claimed it would repel and prevent whiteflies. I had just planted a gardenia in the backyard for my wife. They are whitefly magnets and I was not looking forward to dealing with them. A month later, I saw 3-4 on the gardenia. I applied worm castings and watered it in. One week later no whiteflies. Maybe it worked. About 2 months later I spotted a few on there. I let them get full of whiteflies before I applied more castings. This time I did not water it in. A week later the whiteflies were still bad. Then I watered it in well. A week later I could find no evidence of them. It worked! I did not have to spray anything toxic. That to me is amazing.
The next product is Agralawn Crabgrass Killer. What is amazing to me about this product is that it is packaged in a food processing plant not in a chemical factory. It contains cinnamon bark, wheat flour, sodium hydrogen bicarbonate and cumin. It kills the hard to control weeds in our southern grasses. Virginia buttonweed, basket grass, crabgrass, clover and more. You simply wet the weeds and sprinkle it on and the weed is dead the next day and it doesn’t hurt your lawn. It is not inexpensive but I have told everyone who buys it that if it does not work as I have stated they can bring it back for a refund. About 300 sold and not one returned used.
The last product I want to let you know about is one I have not tried yet. It is brand new and manufactured just a couple of miles away by people that I trust. Natural Industries. The product is called “Vacation”. If you are going to be away from your indoor or outdoor plants for a while you can drench your plants with this product and you don’t have to water those plants for two weeks. Vacation conditions the plant to raise it’s own natural Abscisic Acid level, thus closing the stomata and preventing water loss through transpiration. It is nontoxic and safe for pets and people.
I hope that if any of these products is a solution to your gardening problems that you give them a try.

Lying to customers

I fell in love with your nursery just two summers ago and have since been a faithful customer. My huband and my receipts can testify to that.
In the past 2 or so weeks I've purchased 10-13 milkweed plants. I knew that they were different than what I've purchased from you in the past but I trusted that these were safe plants for my Monarchs. They are not. Every caterpillar that has eaten from these plants has died.
You have to stop using that vendor and you need to let consumers know that it's OK to buy from you.
Can I buy from you in the future and know that your plants are safe?

I am so sorry that the plants were not safe for your butterfly larvae. Our suppliers have been contacted and they all told us that they did not spray them with anything but I think they are mistaken. I say mistaken because the salesperson or management can tell us what they believe is the truth but they can be wrong. All I can promise is that we do not ever spray anything on milkweed at Plants For All Seasons.
We expect to make things right. Please call my daughter, Kelly, Tuesday. 281-376-1646. She can explain where we stand as to the milkweed situation, refund your money or provide more plants. We will take full responsibility.

Victor, everyone carries Knockout Roses from Conard-Pyle Co. I have these wonderful roses in my front yard and they are truely a maintenance dream. I have a place left for a rose I spotted on Conard-Pyle's website that works in our zone called Apricot Drift, Compact groundcover rose that is drought and disease resistant like the Knockout. I am looking to acquire several. Can you tell me if you have or can acquire these?
